Dirtfish rally school on Saturday, and this week I finally get to start practicing on the new (1970's vintage with new rails/felt) pool table!

If you are gong to have to relocate during the winter season i would do enclosed, just because you have no idea what the conditions of the roads are going to be going east (my guess would be horrible and salty in some places).

Now I have to figure out how much it is to ship my car across the country. Has any one shipped a car anywhere, and who did you use? Enclosed vs. Open? I would prefer enclosed for obvious reasons.

I'm trying to get some realistic figures for them, so I can get them to pay for (hopefully) 100% of my moving expenses. All I've looked into so far is National Transport LLC.

depending on ship-time and cost-difference, you could always paint the car with plasti-dip (yes, i'm serious) and then have a detail done on the undercarriage once you arrive

I'll be moving between the time of 3 to six months. So, between spring and summer.

I don't know if I'm following the whole plastidip thing?

I'll be moving to Northern VA, right outside of DC to begin more on-site government work. So I'm kind of weary about having to drive in and out of DC in the Evo. I might buy a winter beater.

Haha. Totally. I've only been close to that once or twice. It's not great. Blegh. I wouldn't even want someones arm to break under me either. The noise...

something like that but over the whole car. cheapo way to paint-protect. some people will do it to drive to events and then peel it off when they get there. similar to people who tape their front ends / quarterpanels on track days but this will stay on better

I have used spray-on-bra a few times with great success, in addition, I have used a few rolls of "Road Wraps" (http://www.buyroadwrap.com/) with even greater success.

My reccomendation would be to buy a few rolls of road wraps, roll the car onto the transporter and simply wrap the whole car with road wrap. It would take about 15-20 minutes to complete and you would be assured that they didnt enter your vehicle (as it would be obvious in the wrap material).

Spray on bra:

Wow! Awesome! Thanks guys. I'll probably do this if they don't like the figure for an enclosed transport. It looks like about 1600-1700 for enclosed and 1200-1300 for open.

that spray-on-bra looks like a much better option than plasti-dip as it looks like rhino-liner and would be able to absorb any rocks and such that nicked it

road wrap looks like saran wrap haha

I'm disappointed Ryan. I know Google has better pics for spray-on bras than the ones you shared!

thought about getting my kid one of these sets for Xmas, but didn't want him messing around with liquid nitrogen.

You should be able to get away with injectors in the 800-1000 range if you never plan to go E85. If you want to go E85 you'll want to get something in the 1050-1200 range.

I'm a big believer in the smallest turbo to hit the goals. So a BB Green, BB BBK Full or even the HKS turbo will get you into that 400range.
