So, continental extremecontact dws do alright in the snow. Break almost immediately once you hit boost but it was also all slushy. Normal turning, accelerating and stopping was fine, only thing i have to compare it to was the old subaru legacy i used to have though

Lousy morning. Drove from Renton to north Seattle and back (amazing in the snow w/ Blizzak's!), car dies out on Rainier Ave S. while trying to make a right turn. It cranks, but won't start. Luckily I'm right in front of a Firestone, hopefully it's just a blown fuse/sensor!
Got to drive the car through snow for the first time. It's one thing to hear everyone say how great our cars are in the snow, and its another to experience it first hand for the first time. My wife got to drive it around too, to get a feel for it, and all I can say about the entire thing is the car really instills confidence that it can handle any weather you throw at it.

edit of this statement. found some real snow today, tires hooked up way better in that. you can figure for yourself what "hooked up way better" means. again, i've never driven blizzaks, but for A/S tires these did well

The key to driving in the snow is to gun it, and slam on the brakes. Only.
