I just moved to Seattle from Minnesnowta. Less hills there but a **** ton more snow. I ran Blizzacks on my 300m. The deep snow was never a problem. The added stopping power is the real advantage is over all season tires when there is ice and snow. Taking off from a stop sign or light was like having AWD.
I would even run blizzacks on my Dodge Ram. I did that because of the stopping power also. Nothing worse than a big *** truck trying to stop on ice and snow barreling into somebody.
I cant imagine how fun snow tires would be on my EVO. I might have to pick up a set of winter rims and throw some snow tires on there for the FUN of it out here.

My wifes cars I would have Michelins on and they were awesome. Not the winter tires just the all seasons were great. They were siped though so that makes a difference. In Minnesota you could have a shop sipe your tires to make them handle better in the snow and ice without having to buy snow tires. They are not the same soft rubber compound as the snow tires but work better than without siping.

The LM-22's are a discontinued version of the LM-60's. From what I understand the LM-series are for high performance vehicles that do not see strictly snow. They work in all conditions but excel in snow. The WS-series are a strictly winter tire that see snow daily. If I lived back in the midwest I would have gone with the WS's, but Seattle see's very limited snow and I'm not going to the mountains super often so the LM's make more sense to me.

"The Blizzak LM-60 is Bridgestone's Performance Winter / Snow tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes and luxurious performance sedans that are looking for winter driving traction on dry, wet and snow-covered roads. The Blizzak LM-60 is designed to combine the basic tread design of the Blizzak WS60 with a high-silica tread compound to blend high-speed durability and dry road, cold weather handling with snow traction."

The Blizzak WS60 is Bridgestone's Studless Ice & Snow winter tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, minivans and crossover vehicles looking for traction on winter's slushy, snow-covered and icy roads. The Blizzak WS60 represents the third generation of Bridgestone WinterBiter tires designed to deliver wintertime traction and control that inspires driver confidence by getting the most out of the vehicle's potential.
