Interesting...

I wonder if they'll leave up the fastest times on the track.

I saw that, which looks like it should be good. Was trying to get to PGP last week Friday but work was horrible and weather as well. Going to try to be there December 2nd AM.

Speaking of which - any recommendations for tires in the colder/wet weather?

Not sure how Hoosier wets do in the cold. Depends on how cold it is too. Pretty sure my Star Specs will suck though, they didn't even like the rain when it was 50.

The Evo certainly has the weight to put heat into the tires

True, the Miata... does not. Which is the only reason it's any fun.

Bringing this one up from the dead (again) - anyone make it out for the hot laps feature yet?

I'm hoping to start the year off with some of the March events now that the car is back up and running.

I decided to run a half day at PGP with some hot laps on Friday. I ran the 5th fastest time and fastest Evo to date on the Hot Laps board (1:13.612). There are about 60-70 people on the board and you need a 1:24 to get your name on the board right now. Apparently there are some legal issues with cars running at PGP, so they said there wouldn't be any more car events for a few months. You'll have to wait to knock me down the board for a while...

Car:
Full weight IX MR
330whp on English's Dyno
Ohlin DFVs (10k/10k) ...too much understeer for PGP
255 NT01s on Rotas, don't hate my rotas

Nice job. Was nice meeting you, I had the red MR. Didn't do the hot laps but my fastest was 1:15.8 according to my lap timer. Hopefully they're able to reopen to lapping days soon as clearly I have improvements to be made. Plus for the price, it's hard to beat for a day of seat time.

Meh... I ran a 1:09.8 You've got some time to make up.

I'm pretty confident I'll be in the 1:07.x's this year.
