Introduce Yourself to the Pacific Northwest
Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Teigon, I'd like to meet some friends here in the NW as I'm totally new to the evo community. Just recently moved to the Portland area.
2006 Evo IX MR picked up with 60k miles on the dot, she was sorely neglected other than being extremely clean exterior and somewhat clean interior she was road hard and put away wet. No maintenance was done other than oil changes... I plan to turn her life around.
Sorry for the cell phone pic.

the day we went to look at her

I come from the 240sx world "don't bash me to hard
" My goal with the evo is the same I had with my 240 to fabricate everything myself and to grow with the car. Except with a step up in quality
How she ended up before being parted out to supplement becoming a home owner
I'll build another shortly as I love drifting.

welcome to the group, Teigon. One question I'm hoping you can answer. I don't think we tend to harbor any ill-will toward the Nissan/drifting crowd, but I always get a feeling there is a chip on the shoulder from that crowd toward us. Is that founded at all, or is there just not enough cross-group interaction so both groups have assumptions regarding what the other group thinks of them?

The guys running their little blue tops seemed to hate us. Except they are no choosier than a WRX owners preference in weed sellers. But the guys that were full jizz swapped never had much ainst towards us.
Full disclosure: "Jizz" is, of course, made in reference to the 1jz and 2jz motors, not actual fermented Jesus juice.
There is alot of douche kids that follow the Nissan/Drift crowd that tend to be "RWD or bust" type of people. I was not one of them, I'm in it for the sake of cars this is what I love to do and I respect all makes and models.
There is a big phase of younger people trying to go through it right now for that "cool factor"
Hey bro you JDM? You JDM real always? how do JDM?
Anyone of the hookup to get into road racing PIR?

After lurking for over a year I guess its time I post something akin to an introduction, or at least a shout out. I'm in the Seattle area, always happy to find a meet and get to know locals, but drives are preferred to standing around. Especially in such fantastic cars as Evos.
Hi my name is Ryan, just picked up my brand new 2013 EVO MR last week. Looking forward to learning more about my car and meeting new people in the community.

^is the blue really that deep of a color or is that lighting/filtering? What is the name of it? I didn't think the initial X's were that deep of blue.
Welcome to the group, though it is sort of a ghost town around here lately. Apparently there is a facebook group that gets more action, but I refuse to create an account to find out.
