The time has finally come, after about a year of prepping my finances will be sorted out and it i'll be the proud owner of an evo. I'm going to be purchasing an Evo 9 only so I was wondering how much you guys paid. I don't know if it's considered rude or what to ask such a thing so I apologize in advance but if you can pm or just let me know that would be great. On craigslist all evo 9's are about 26k + which i feel is way to much considering I could buy a 120$ plane ticket to cali and pick on up for about 20-21k. And I was looking for one with about 40-60k miles.

Should be able to score a mostly stock evo 9 with 60k miles for right around 20k

Thats more what I was expecting. Hopefully i'll be able to use this thread as ammo. If dealers don't come down to 20-21k i'm definitely going to walk and wait it out.

 

There is a big difference in a dealer purchase than a private party. Mine was private party.

 

I picked up a WW IX MR with only 7k miles on it for less than that (including shipping)....deals can be found, be patient.

 

Less than $20K, 31K miles, check engine light on, ACD lights on, running in limp mode. Barely made it home from PDX to SEA.

Had it fixed under warranty within 2 weeks for free-99 and has been (for the most part) trouble free!

Oh, and the 20+ hours put into restoring the paint and doing a full frame detail.... Might have needed that as well

 

Expect to pay between 22-25k for a clean low mileage IX. Take your time and search nation wide for the right car for you. Alternatively, if you are in a hurry to buy and know the color/trim you want, just call Southcoast Mitsubishi and see if they have (or can locate) what you want. Odds are they can.

 

I paid somewhere around $35k for mine. It had extremely low milage on it at the time though. .2 I believe it read on the odo
