If you're looking for an X and don't care about the title, the damage on that car is minimal at best. I'm not sure how it was totaled out; chances are the owner had ****ty insurance on it.
i wouldn't pay over 20k for that. salvage fetches about 60% of market value, so probably closer to 18k max

60% is generous I was going to say 50%. But if its worth $25k I wouldn't pay anything more than 15k for it. Salvage title always have a story and there's a good reason it has a salvaged title.

I actually saw this car at this dealership. I went there looking at something else with a friend. The whole place is subi's for the most part and I think there was maybe 1 guy working there. It looks like its run by some crazy russian dudes. cuz all the cars we looked at were pretty much sold as is most of them were crazy dirty and looked like none have been given any sort of look over before they were sold. That being said this X did look very clean. Where were you when I was selling mine way better deal then this
Salvage titles aren't all bad, it all depends on reasoning behind how it became a salvage title in the first place. If all the repairs were done correctly thereafter a car can be had for fairly cheap. You just need to physically inspect the car yourself.
ya i didnt notice it was a salvage when i posted but looking at that salvage page you can tell nothing was structurally wrong with it. but i fully agree with everyone here. 22k for it is to much. if it had more then just wheels on it to make it worth more then maybe. but i would agree not worth more then 18k to me if the repairs were done well.
not saying i am going to buy it or any X any time soon for that matter. i just saw it and posted it up.

Sure, if you plan to keep the car forever. Look at it like this though, how easy is it going to be to get anywhere NEAR what it's 'worth' when you try to sell it 4 years from now? 22k is PREMIUM price for a salvaged title. I've seen clean title X's go for around that much, with fewer miles and unmolested.
There's a SUPER good deal for a evo on CL that i saw.
It was a red evo 8/9 and it has 20k miles on it
And was posted for only 20k
Super good deal, I'll post the link up when he re-post his ad. It literally just got taken down 10 minutes ago

Here's a different deal that's pretty decent
Only 75k miles on it
And its up for 18k
It's super ugly in my opinion, but it can easily become clean looking
