Dyno Update
Dyno Update
Hello Everyone,
Lately, there has been a small controversy about some posted dyno numbers.
After getting back from our successful Arizona tuning trip we decided to ge to the bottom of this issue.
Here are our findings.
About a month back, we had a short in our distribituon blocks for the Eddy Current.
These blocks connect wires from the power source in series and some parallel wo the Eddy.
The short was due to, according to MD, normal everyday use.
It caused abnormal spikes in the graphing and braking to subside when testing was complete on a dyno pull.
After contacting MD, they immediately responded with new blocks and a new control panel.
At the time we changed the blocks and the dyno seemed to be working properly. The above mentiond issues never arose so we were under the impression that the dyno was in good working order again.
After talking with MD again and describing our issue we decided to change the control box. The resistance values in the circuit board were not within spec. This would cause abnormally high recorded numbers but not load. The load increased slightly but not enough to cause an issue with steady state tuning.
This should solve our problem. We have a few cars to tune toady so we will update this thread at that time. We have also contacted some customers that may have been affected during thsi time period. They and others are welcome to come in for recalibration free of charge at any time.
Thank you all for your time and we at Precision Dyno Tuning would also like to apologize for the incovenience that we may have caused.

I am assuming I was not one of your customers who was there within that time frame. But if I was, do you know exactly how far off it was reading? I'd like to track power increases as I add parts in the future at your shop. Thanks.

You are welcome to come at ANY time to get checked for free.
We will do a few pulls free of charge to get you an accurate result. We will also reduce the fee for the next time you come to get tuned.
We apologize deeply for your inconvenience.
It's no biggie..I'll call you guys next time I am about to do another mod..Thanks in advance.

truth about you dont own any shop.
truth about you have MD dyno.
truth about you know how to fool around your safc only.
what other thing do you know...

You ask what I know. Well, I know one thing:
PD posted terribly inflated numbers on a stock IX with only a flash and you believed it without question. Another person who believed those numbers was Slowcar, but look what happened to him. I wonder why he never posted numbers from the dyno day, is now sponsored and is getting a full buildup, but won't return any PMs asking about it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out...
What do you know, Edwin, other than how to follow along like a blind sheep?
