Arizona - Dyno Results

I wanted to post a few of the results from our Arizona tuning trip. As always, we had a great time and met some more good people. Hope all of you are enjoying your cars and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

All of these tunes were done on 91 octane fuel. Unfortunately, we were having some printer issues at Vivid but the graphs still came out in black. I apologize for the fact that we can not see the RPM's however.

The first shows the results of a car with a Stroker kit from Vivid Racing matched with their T3 T4 turbo kit and our EcuTek tune.

The next graph is of an Evo VIII with that had a previous flash with 264/272 cams, TBE, BC. Same mods with our EcuTek flash.

This is an Evo VIII with stock camshafts and TBE which had a flash before. This is with our EcuTek flash.

This next one is an Evo IX MR baselined with a TBE and a boost controller. The second curve is with our tune at 21lbs and the second is at 22lbs.

This Evo VIII had a flash before with the same mods: 272's, TBE, BC. This is our Ecutek flash on the same boost pressure.

Wow those are so pretty impressive numbers especially the ones comparing your flash to the previous flash. Also your IX numbers are awesome.

Hi Nick,

was the MR from Hunbay?, if so, Edwin keeps telling me that his car feels very fast.
Also, Nick, is that the same Blue Evo you guys tuned last time that had the 2.3 stroker plus the t3-t4 with California plates? Abner told me of a blue Evo with t3-t4 making unsane amounts of power, are we talking about the same car?

The whp seems high, the torque looks OK, I would expect a bit more on the torque side due to bigger engine though.

my 2c

Carlos

Yes, that is Hyunbae's IX. Edwin was waiting anxiously to hear the results of this car, as he has an Evo VIII MR with cams. I think he was alittle sad to hear that he made more power, but he was happy for his friend. He enjoyed driving it too!! Although Edwins car is no joke either Those all wheel drive burnouts he does! haha.

No this was a different car, an Evo VIII MR with a similar setup. This was with EcuTek though and pump gas, the E. Blue Evo was with 100 octane and AEM EMS.

No kidding, Edwin and me lined up a few times in the past and we were 100% dead on, toe to toe(that was before I put my Alcohol kit).

Edwins car is very fast indeed, he trapped 110 in Tucson over a year ago with silly mods, he also has the best and lightest parts on his car, (you know how Edwins roll right?).

Sergio is back in Colorado and he loves the way his car runs, altitude did not prevent him from running 25PSI peak.

I want to take Edwin to the track at Phoenix(Firebird), his car should be bellow 12.5 for sure.

Oh, I see. The other one was a beast in wheels, I heard 460 some WHP or something like that? that is crazy. Within the last 8 days I found 3 people that are going 2.3 blocks on their Evos.. what is all that fever about ?

Yes, that one made 465whp I believe. That car is incredible. I got to drive it too, never have driven anything that fast before.

Everyone just wants more power anymore and they know certain ways to get it!

Well, let's put it this way: Although my car is losing aprox. 20% of its power (60-65 whp) due to higher altitude (6000ft) and the use of 91 oct gas (I was tuned for 93), the car still feels pretty fast, but is definetely slower than what it was at sea level. I had to play with the MBC and give it a full and a half turn to see again 25 psi in 3/4/5th gear, which is about 23 psi, not bad considering the altitude and type of gas I mentioned before. I bet my arm the car is a 13 sec flat over here, a full second slower than it was 2 months ago at the DC track.

Oh well, I really don't care since me and my Evo will be in Germany in about 5 months
