David Buschur is now saying that a rewire isn't necessary with the Walbro 400 fuel pump, just a heavy duty ground from the block to the firewall. IMO there's not a lot of real solid data on this pump in an Evo yet.

We didn't know for sure because the pump was on the car when I bought it. I decided to pull it, and I was surprised to learn that the relief valve mod had not been done. I did the mod but it will be a few days before I can run some logs to see what effect it has on the AFR's.

As the car sits I'm guessing that it will run low 11's at around 125 mph. Unfortunately the tracks are all closing down for the winter around here, so it may be next spring before we find out what it runs for sure. Finally got to the track last night. Best pass of the night was exactly where I thought it would be, 11.19 ET at 125 mph. 1.59 60' on all season street tires. Keep in mind that this is pretty much a full weight EVO with a 250lb driver (my son). The car is still needing more fuel in the upper RPM's.
