If I can fix it today afterwork and if it doesn't leak tommorow when I drive the car to work.
Then I can go to MOD and join the Dyno Run. I will research the best sealant to use for 100% Meth today at work. Hopefully I can get it resolved tonight. If I cannot fix it myself, then I have no choice but to return it to AEM for servicing. Wish Me Luck. |
Try out the GOOP Archie

Bad News guys...
My car cannot make it for the Dyno Run this weekend. My AEM Water/Methanol pump is leaking, and it will take about 3 business days for the AEM tech guys to inspect and repair the unit. If only I can repair the unit my self. I will try and disasmeble the pump today, maybe I can put it special seals round the top of the pump where its leaking. Do you guys know if there are any speical quick seals that you can buy at auto parts store for methanol? Thanks. Do a search on google for Shurflo. Or: http://www.shurflo.com/pages/new_ind...rial_home.html Cost on these pumps are normally about $100 over the internet, and rebuild kits are normally easy to come by as well. |
So did you guys ever make it to this dyno day.

Any ideas on why it's leaking already?

It is leaking on one of the pump output meth line. The 100% Meth ate away the thread seal, and it was loose for some reason.
I bought some Gray RTV for Water pumps, good as new. No more leaks. |
