i had a 02 lancer ES, don't know what kind of variances there are in the trunks from the diff years, and built a sub box for a single 10" 10w6v2. there's about 1cu ft of airspace, and should have plenty of room for cleaning pretty any sub you want to put in it (w7 almost fit, but not quite). i sold my lancer and bought another DSM, and have already built a new box for it. if anyone here wants it, i will let it go for dirt cheap. basically you pay shipping, and packaging materials and you can have it. i'm not trying to make any money on the thing, i got my use out of it and it sounded awesome. i thought this would be a good place to find someone perhaps in search of a nice sub box for very very cheap. there are some pictures at http://www.sounddomain.com/id/pb4ugotobed so you can see where it goes and how it fits in. it looks a little rough in the pictures, those were taken before i modified it to fit in the corner a little more flush. looks very nice in person when installed. if you have any questions about shipping costs, please feel free to emal me at zunguzunguzeng@yahoo.com and i'll be more than happy to help. i have 100% positive feedback on ebay as user babyjudeinjune.

How much did that sub weigh that you had in there?

 

it was a 10w6v2... probably 15 lbs? not exactly sure how much, but the box is solid. i also had a digital designs 3510 in there for a little while. weighed a good bit more than the jl. i can stand on the box and it doesn't flex a bit. i didn't think the classifieds would be as effective, as i'm not trying to sell it, just cover shipping and packaging... if you live local to cocoa beach/merritt island florida you can have the thing. it's built for my old lancer. now i have eagle talon tsi... no chance of it fitting in here. besides, i already built a box that does fit

bump... still have it. 100% fiberglass, except for the mdf ring the sub mounts to. looks like shipping is about $40 after i get it packed well, so it doesn't get beat up.
