picture this box, in a bit darker carpet, and the output for the speaker wire, instead of it being on the side, it is on the back.

yeah its a closed box made for a single 10 inch subwoofer. specs:

0.66 cubic foot internal volume
dimensions:
cutout: 9-1/8"

width: 13-1/8"
height: 12-7/8"

These boxes are made of rugged 3/4" fiberboard (which resists flexing and has anti-resonant properties) and are covered with durable dark gray or black carpet. The spring clips will accept bare speaker wire and pin connectors. Polyfill and screws are included. (Mounting hardware and grille not included.) Thanks to reliable locking-joint construction and an exceptionally strong adhesive, these boxes are virtually indestructible.

like i said, picture this box in a darker color carpet and the speaker wire connectors on the backside instead of the side itself.
