the churches around here are so freakin rich they put in fountains and sh*t.. pisses me off so much.. man ive been to church in a old storefront down in mexico and it was more fun. some churches need some to get by. thats all those people have. (wow didnt mean for that to sound so lecture)

 

man, that's so shady. I would do it if the profits went to some charity, but it's just a dishonest way to make a buck. That's messed up. Keep in mind, anyone who buys one of these raffle tickets, you have to pay the sales tax on this thing if you win.....

 

Im not worried. I'll be at the car show, so I will see the name drawn and everything. I hope none of you guys buy tickets - it'll make my odds that much better! Anyways, I emailed them to see what the ticket sales count was up to and they said they've sold over 300. Im sorta local to them (about 20 miles), but if they are donating it to the church I think they are - wow. Its this super old church from like 1890 that is being totally restored and the city isnt giving them enough money to finish the job. Sucks for them. Also, mr. maestro, sales tax will be paid when the car is paid in full from Jive - that was a question I asked as well.

Do you have a mitsu dealer by you? They send the money to the dealer and they give you the car.

Know that in most states any organization conducting a raffle has to provide a free way of entering the contest. Otherwise it is considered gambling. Hence the "No Purchase Necessary" clause on most of the car raffles in the back of autoweek magazine. This raffle is also not registered as far as I can tell. Buyer beware.

Damn man, why are there so many haters on the EvoM boards? It makes me sick. I think Josh is doing a great thing, and as soon as i get paid im buying a ticket or two.

When someone's tryin to do a good thing, dont talk ****. I dont even see why people would be bothered if Jive WAS making a profit. I say, if your organizing this whole thing and came up with the idea, go for it. I think people who are hating are just jealous because its not their idea.
