How much for my wrecked EVO?
Sorry to here about your accident but it sounds like the car protected you to some extent. I would be curious to know how the roof held up as I track my car and have wondered how the car would hold up in a roll over.
Hey Alex, it was a pretty stupid way to go. I took my EVO in for some maintenance work at RRE on Thursday (7/1) and decided to have their rear sway bars installed. My car was already handling pretty neutral with the alignment change I had RRE do a few months back. I picked up the car and didn't really get an opportunity to test the new setup. 2 days later, on Saturday the 3rd I went to play golf in the morning and was coming back home when this happend. I was going through a fast turn on a regular highway which I have driven through many times. I was speeding, but I have gone by there a lot faster without any problems. I think I eased on the gas a bit and the rear end snapped around. If I was actually paying attention or was out driving hard, I might have been alert enough to have caught it or something. If it was a regular rear wheel drive car, I would have just spun out on the road. But the EVO tracked along and got sideways, and when it hit the curb the car got launched and barrel rolled 3 times over this guys front retaining wall.
I have pictures, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of posting it. Thankfully no one got hurt. The car ended upside down, but I was unhurt except for a cut on my finger. As for Apexernsx's inquiry about the roof, the roof held up fine. The interior is fairly untouched. The doors can still be forced to open about halfway. I guess the car was designed to endure getting rolled in rallying or doing stupid things like my case. The airbag didn't go off since there was no front end impact. The engine should be in pretty good shape. I will probably buy another EVO, as soon as I get the check from insurance and they settle my outstanding loan. From now on I think I will try to ease up on pushing it all the time during everyday driving and try to get to a track ones in a while to get the speeding bug out of my system.

Alright guys, here is my car on Ebay.

Here is the e-mail address of the guy parting it out.
bmwm5@***.net
He is trying to avoid taking most of it apart, but if there is anything in particular you guys want like some of the PMs for the dash or gauges, let him know. He is in Orange County and can either take it off for you or you might be able to go by and take whatever you want by yourself.
