Just got it started, sorry no pics for now too busy getting it going. Does anyone have a ruff tune that I could start with using TephraMod v7, 2.3, 272 cams, 1200cc injectors? The tune is so far off which I expected, but the cranking settings are such that it wont start at all once its warmed up a little.

Here's a really nooby question for you:

How come your intake monifold there is short and flat where other's I see in build threads are the large curvy constructions?

May sound stupid, but hey, how else do you learn?!

I dont know, as far as I know its stock, I just bought the car and started building it right away with no knowledge about evo's at all. I think the manifold is ridiculously small, I build custom intake manifolds for race cars but this one will have to stay stock because it has to pass the visual here in cali. The cops are getting smart these days.

Thanks for all the comments, I almost finished the new intercooler piping today, Ill get some picks up tomorrow.

Also the stock timing cover/ heat shielding will most likely go back on just to make it look more stock.

I've actually had the hood popped for that very thing in Stockton when they couldn't give me a ticket for speeding. They looked under the hood looking around. Basically a bunch of harassment. It's looking good. Are you going to have it dyno'd when you finish the breaking it in?

More bad news with this car, I changed some things around on the tune so I could drive it and took it out around the block at my shop again and was happy when I got back, till I popped the hood, I found a small coolant leak by the rad hose. No problem I thought to my self I will just put a new clamp on, so I reached down to make sure it was tight and boom the radiator split right in front of me. So i went home and am currently having a new all aluminum racing rad and silicon hoses sent out for tomorrow.
