I would still love to meet up and see how the Red on a 2.4 works. Should be a blast!

Absolutely man. I can't believe I haven't been able to make it down there yet. It's only due to the car not being tuned yet on the Red setup.

The car is pending sale for a few weeks with arrangements made not to be tuned before the sale, so if that falls through I will be tuning it and could drop by then.

I have to finish all of the loose ends before I sell it! Surprisingly it's not making me want to keep the car though, which I think is a good sign. The date is closing it pretty fast

And then when I get sick of the E30, I just float above the clouds in this beast:

Thanks!

I can't believe you compared BMW reliability to Mitsubishi, they are equally crap but the BMW stuff is so much more money when comparing stock to stock. Modded to modded the evo is cheaper when its comparable hp. Please don't take that as hate, just a little bimmer bash

Bahaha I can't really deny that, and no hate taken dude.

However, I really haven't had good luck with Mitsu, and I have had a solid experience with the Bimmers, so I'm sure that plays heavily into my opinionated opinion.

I'm in the stage of life (that won't last) where I want a 200bhp car that is well balanced that I can throw a set of good coilovers, a rear swaybar, and tires on, change the oil every once in a while, that I can just drive the **** out of and not worry about. All of this mod this mod that maintain this maintain that thing just took it all out of me. Simple car, suspension mods, N/A, etc.

This is what I hear when people say Evo:

Oh, you drove the car every day for two weeks? Time to change the oil again with Brad Penn and a Wix filter! Actually, while you're changing your oil you might as well do spark plugs too! Actually, you should probably clean your air filter and do a couple logs to make sure everything is kosher. Wait, is my wideband sensor reading right? Actually, I think I should regap my plugs to .02 instead of .018. Well if I'm taking my coils off I should send my coils in for testing. I wonder if my injectors need to be cleaned? Maybe I'll pull them off and get them tested. While I have the car apart for what started as an oil change I should probably send my coilovers out to get serviced, and with them out, maybe it's time for me to start thinking about that swaybar upgrade I've been wanting. Man, it's time to realign the car again too, I think. I think I felt something weird on Friday on the 2 mile cruise to the gas station where 17 cars tried to race me.

It all comes with the territory, but the mental sickness that comes along with owning this thing did me in haha

Now I'm sure I'll get sick of Bimmer wiring issues too, but until then

Dude that's insane. I drive my Evo every single day and rarely do any maintenance. 10k oil changes with AMSOIL 20w50! Hahaha. I haven't even washed it in a year! It is finally annoying me with an oil leak. I had a bad pan and I changed the pan and reused the oil because I didn't have any with me. I am going to pull the motor when I rebuild the trans though and reseal it all up. My car does have 125k though and I do beat the crap out of it. Hahaha. But your car is amazing looking.

Hahaha, that's EXACTLY what I want in a car, and that's what I'm doing with the E30 now. I'm legit jealous of that. My dream is to find a salvage title Evo for like $8k, do some Ohlins, solid bushings, a 20g wheel, and drive the living hell out of it.

This thing has my OCD going bazzzurk 100% of the time, so much so that I can't even begin to enjoy it.

My car had terrible paint when I got it so the need to keep it perfect never really kicked in. I had to drive it to enjoy it. I plan on painting it but I am afraid once it is perfect I will be afraid to drive it so nothing happens to it. Now I park everywhere and have no care in the world. It is kind of liberating.

You would curse it if you painted it! I'm sure it's liberating to have a car that rips that you don't have to go OCD about when you eat your lunch in it.
