Well I finally got the car to crank over this weekend was so stoked about that. still working on the evo wiring harness hoping by the end of Nov. I will be able to start it.
Are these cars like the 944 as to wiring? The whole chassis harness is completely separate from the engine and you just wire in the tach signal and coolant temp? I really want to pick up a 944 turbo and swap a 4g63 in now after seeing this. Keep up the good work!!

Yes, the 911 engine bay harness plugs into the main harness in the engine bay. the injector harness is also separate as well as the harnes that runs the temp alt starter and oil. I am using this harness so I can use the factory gages.

Cool project, I like it.
I have a 930 and love every minute I drive it. Tires spins in the 2 first gears on boost. Great drivers cars and needs skills to exploit it.
Who cares if the porsche fans don't like it it's not like it will be an appreciating asset or anything.

The 911 motor is really tall. The block itself is flat but it has a ton of stuff up on top of the motor - intakes/throttle bodies, fan, oil tank, etc. And don't forget that you're not comparing this motor to the flat 6. It's in a different horsepower class. It's in the Turbo horsepower class. And the turbo motor has that giant intercooler poking up really high. So, I don't think it matters at all.
I'm really interested to see if you had access to race scales. I'd love to hear how much less weight this is and how much farther forward the CG would be.

Thanks Dan
