Well had an unfortunate issue with the Black and ended up having to put a Stock IX turbo on it. Somehow it got oil starved, not sure what happened. Didnt have time to re dyno the car before IFO but it did run a best of 11.41@120.48 yesterday at 21.8psi. Got all ready to qualify this morning and turned the boost and launch up but something in the car disagreed, heard a crunch and then I coasted. Havent had time to tear into it to see what it is but the trans is not leaking nor cracked...knocking on wood.

There is a list of what could have happened but I decided to take today off and look at it tomorrow night. We all have a feeling its the trans, specifically the cross shaft that broke on the Bish. I could have taken out the front diff (open now) since there was a touch of wheelhop on the launch and then BAMM...clank clank clank.
Sorry to hear! I guess we are next to test. As you know, the same trans you were trying we have my old one in Matt's car now, he is coming up this week for our Sport Compact Race. Going to turn his car WAY down and start easy on it and hope he can compete and finish in the Max Effort Class. If that happens we are going to put the car into Time Trials and turn it up. My car is on the new trans and I'm hoping for the best. Trying to sort out the wiring now.
im sorry Aaron but i just envisioned you saying that and it made me laugh. i hope you get it figured out bro.. youll have to post pics up once you get the case opened up.. you dont think haven the 300M shafts would have prevented any of this do you ?

I think the 300M shaft and a welded center diff will go a long way to keeping this a little stronger. Otherwise I will jump on Dave's trans as soon as I can track one down
On the upside the 11.41 was with a 1.76 60', my next pass was a 1.64 but I had to lift since I had been warned once that day for no cage. All that at 21psi though, the results are looking very promising. The challenge is going to make it last obviously.
