minor setback, when i got the head back from the machine shop the HLA was only tighened up by hand by me.. all could've been solved by pulling the valve cover but i was so set on loose flywheel bolts... oh well, waiting on competition to build me a clutch!
i've got a track rental at the beginning of July so its gotta be done by then so i can bang out my 10 sec passes

well 2012. didnt get to enjoy the car as much as i hoped but oh well.
had a bunch of issues with the car, from pesky oil leaks to clutches that don't disengage which led to a hurt fresh trans.
got the car back together around mid november with a new clutch and fixed all the little issues i was having.
had the car together till about mid sept, pulled the tranny, got a refund from comp for the twin and went with a new setup.
the things that i added since september were the following
-Exedy triple SD and STM clutch line (thanks justin @stm!)
-STM oil catch can setup
-non ACD tcase
i had the car back together around mid november. did a boost leak test, compression test and fresh plugs. then it was tune time.
Tom and i worked on the tune for bit, between being sick or the weather not cooperating we were only able to get a little bit of progress done on pump gas. will continue pump gas and e85 tuning come spring and nice weather. car is making a little bit over 400hp via VD around 27-28psi. Tom said there was room left to go on pump gas, but no real reason to push the car on pump gas i feel. had the car out the other week and was able to see where the car stands, i knew it felt fast, about as fast as it did the season before on pump gas..
I ended up running into my buddy who has a MINT c6 ls2 vette, 440rwhp tuned by redline motorsports. back in october the car ran lows 12s @120-121. put about 2 cars on him from a 40 roll on an abandoned air strip and a car or so from a 60. mind you, tom and i were still working on the tune. so i know that the car is healthy and is running pretty well on pump 93 with the stock ecu on speed density.
I'd like to thank Tom (tscompusa) for working with me on the car thus far, and continue working with me in the spring when the car is out again..
anyways, over the winter i only plan on doing the following:
STM UICP
BR exhaust manifold heatshield
M&H 17in slicks mounted on the stock IX wheels
Black RPF1s in 17x8 et35 for my street setup
Install my oil cooler that i havent gotten around to LOL
possibly an aluminum catback exhaust, i dont know tho. love my buschur bullet ex!
possibly a JDM rear bumber
Plan on putting the car further on a diet over the winter too. i don't see one reason why i wont be able to get the car to dip into the 10s. as that is my ultimate goal for the car. I told myself the IX turbo wont be going on the car till it does infact go 10s!
The engine has about 12-1500 miles on it, same for the trans.. would like to thank Raif for assembling the bottom end and rebuilding the trans for me with the VIII 4th! thanks buddy!
That is all for now. here are a couple recent pics of my RS
