If you look at your old set up you ran 9.37 @152 at about 2700lb with your STM 6766 Turbo Kit and 650 cams. With a stock block/stock engine on a red you ran 9.43 @ 147 at about 2300lbs. Just by removing 400lbs does ALOT it shows and your about 1000lbs off from a stock EVO thts sick. Keep it up STM you guys are always doing great work

There is a lot more to it than that. A lot.

Very true. The lighter the vehicle, the trickier it can be to get other aspects to get dialed-in as well. The special STM ingredient is their special pixie dust which allows their cars to fly down the track! Congrats Em, keep it up!

My BR motor is going in the car next and we plan on running fast. If the shootout was not right around the corner we might try that but I really want to be a bit faster than a red is going to let us run.

Why would they want to stick with the weaker stock frame setups when then can go bigger? A stock frame turbo setup will not be a top dog at the shootout.

We know the car is easily going to go 8s with a T3 setup. Not too hard to figure that out (it will just be lower 8s than the ricer). I would really rather see how far a stock frame can really be pushed. Its something different that hasn't been attempted before. I think that would be more of a challenge for STM than just slapping a 6766 on and seeing how fast it will go. Maybe 8s on a stock frame???

I'm guessing STM is going to be in the quick 16 class at the shootout and are going to want to win (obviously). A record breaking FP black pass will not allow them to win.
