Evo III rebuild thread
so this has been a bit quite as of late things will move forward with the car just been getting the ice racing season in order and looking at home owner ship once that happens the car come apart again and gone through and caged for hopes of some wheel to wheel action will up date this as it happens
Hats off to YOU! Not many people would put the time, energy and money into a car that was T-Boned, no matter how rare it is! You saw what this car is worth and I'm glad you saved it! Ok, some 'obvious' questions if you don't mind (Sorry)!:
1) Was that a true Japanese rally car, or just painted up to look like one?
2) How the heck could you get the car here as a street car? I know if it's a "track orientated only car" it's a lot easier. In that case, it could never hit the streets...
Great job and keep up the good work! I look forward to future updates and photos! Amazing!

ya i got all the evo 8 junk to do the 5 lug and ya it'll get some wideness love also but getting the house to do all said stuff is the main factor right now then every bit of the car comes out and redone fixed or upgraded to handle the strain of road racing race fab in NZ has some awesome parts as well
yes racefab here is a very reputable fab shop not cheap but you pay for quality, nice job fixing that evo III up mate. want one my self, closest i got to one is the evo III rs lsd gearbox in my galant vr4.
up date the car has been kinda just holding out for a while actually drove it to work today just waiting till the next couple of months then the re-rebuild starts again trans rebuilt re seal the motor different turbo setup and gutted and caged maybe even a wide body and also the 5 lug swap so stay tuned
Wow this is a blast from the past, glad you revived her. I got that thing running in ~06 or so when it was imported and actually almost bought it after driving it around for a few months (too bad I was a poor college kid). Any pics of the engine bay?
well the car has mostly been sitting around well due to the fact of working towards home onwership and well looks like we found a spot so the car will once again be going under a complete tear down and rebuild so look for some updates through out the summer
so update yes car still just kinda chillin in the back yard i take it out every so often to make sure battery has a charge but this car has been taking the time as of late i'll keep updates as i do em
