It will be a 10pt choromoly with window net, certified for 8.50's. Safety first right? lol.

Cage, oh sh*t! Plan on still keeping interior with the cage?

Yep, 100% full interior. You shouldn't even be able to tell it has a cage unless you look in the car. It'll be a very clean/tight fit

I'm sick of not being able to participate in many of the events locally from not having one, and they do stiffen the chassis and safety is #1. Only thing I have to modify on the car is notch the dash a bit, but it doesn't ruin the car at all

Scott, I ended up having my machinist machine the block for screw-in freeze plugs for exactly this reason. BTW, I'm willing to bet that once you check the torque on those head-studs you'll find the reason it pressurized the cooling system. The same thing happened to me when I forgot to check the studs after a few initial heat cycles of a new build.

I'm really interested in seeing the results of the intake change, too. Best of luck.

Screw-in freeze plugs, that is pretty bad-*** and not very surprising since you came from the V8 world. Yes, I am almost positive that is the issue.

I should have the new results up this weekend with freeze plugs intact The results I post this weekend may not be the same boost if I don't figure out the misfire issue, could be a failing coil from the spoolin-up set, not sure. But you will see the curve and could tell what power could be made.

Hondas use screw in freeze plugs as well. Just hard block it and the freeze plug goes away lol.

Car is up and running good. Freeze plug probably wasn't sealed very good plus the bad misfire caused it to pop out. Compression and leak down was perfect.

Here's a comparison between the f1i and curt brown 70mm extreme at 34psi. Only changes in the before/after pull was the f1i was in 15* weather, no tuning here.. Not sure if this is accurate or not, I can tell the car is a lot faster though, possibly the tq speaking. Curt brown says the results are spot on and the only intake manifold in his testing to see similar results was a ported skunk 2.

Accurate or not, it spools faster, makes more boost, and doesn't fall off up top. This power level in my car will trap between 144-146.

got around to installing the ARP extended studs:

Two random pics my friend took at a car meet I was at over the weekend

Thanks man. It should make pretty good power. I'm honestly really happy with the power level it is at right now so we won't be pushing it TOO much harder.. for now.. lol. I never got a clean pass at the drag strip with this power level last year so i'd like to see how quick I can drive it down the 1320

That's a great result Scott. Car looks great. Love the wheel studs, too. Where did you get those?
