racefab nz time attack build

hey everyone. rob from racefab in new Zealand here. after a good mate/customer has pulled out of a evo build we were doing for him ive decided to take it on as a shop car build and will do a build thread on it

this is to give people ideas, get ideas from others and also to show all our custom parts we do for the evo 7-9's

this car will be built for time attack, superlap and drag type racing so the plan is to get it nice and light

because we plan on making custom tubs and front support panel we've made a brace to show all the factory engine mount and head light mounting points, so once its all cut off we can make mounts up to those points

here's one of our custom front frames made in chromoly for it. runs all the factory steering rack and swaybar mounting points. this is the first of the weight savings with 5.1kgs now saved

here's roughly where the rear guards need to be cut to get this thing nice and low with no clearance issues

now our custom rear subframe made in chromoly ready to be fitted. we plan on running the rs version diff so this frame is to suit one, but also have another frame to suit a 3000gt/ gto rear lsd diff for drag racing. (only because we make the subframes and also have a gto lsd diff)

i was told by someone at racefab that the front chromo sub frame was 15lbs ''7kg'' lighter then stock. this was the version that retained OEM steering rack and sway bar. is this true? this was the one i am going to buy if it is. otherwise i may get something else.
