TSComptuned 2014 on going build thread
Also i notice the car when its fully cold it will turn off after like 10 sec and then it starts and its normal after that.
I put the 40 micron in and let the car sit and started it 100% cold and the stalling issue was gone, so something is definitely restricted with this filter to the point its actually causing the car to act up and do funky stuff even on a cold start.

Also to those who are waiting for me to tune you, don't worry i did not forget and will respond to emails soon. I know some of you get pissed off when you see me writing on the forum before I respond to emails.

I decided to replace my inline fuelab filter with this one
http://www.foreinnovations.com/product_p/16-900.htm
I'll do the blow thru test and let you guys know how they both compare. I read a lot of good things about Fore innovations though. They seem to make very high quality products.
It is also the only 10 micron SS filter i seen as well. You shouldnt re-use a 10 micron filter since you wont ever get it fully clean afterwords, but the SS will outlast a paper element.
got some flow data for the fore innovations product below:
3 psi loss 1080 lph (triple 267s @ 70 psi / 13.5V)
2 psi loss at 990 lph (triple 267s @ 80 psi / 13.5V)
0 psi loss at 720 lph (double 267s @ 70 psi / 13.5V)
pretty impressive!

Hey Don. I just now seen this. I spoke to the gas station and they are sending a technician to the tank tomorrow to test it. but they told me they test them regularly on a weekly basis because of how ethanol attracts water so they keep an eye on the tanks daily.
They told me that the color of the ethanol is perfectly normal and it usually has a slight tint of yellow to it, but it varies depending on how its fermented or something. i forget the exact words they used.
They said the same thing you just did also. to run regular gas through it to make sure all the water is gone and that the regular gas has more cleaning agents then the e85 so they recommended running that through it to properly get it clean and then follow it with e85 again.
The station i go to is 1 mile from my house so its pretty close!
What color was your ethanol? can you pour some in a clear tube/glass and let me know? just curious.
They also asked me if i let the gas sit in my tank and for how long. i told them one year. they asked me if the tank was full or not. I said half way. they made a big deal about that and said it attracts water like crazy when its not full to the top and stored for long periods of time.
Thanks for the offer though! Weather is starting to get a lot nicer now. although now it is complete crap outside temporary.
I don't think its to the point i have to do that but i appreciate it

I have not started my Evo since Buschurs Shootout in Aug. Spring is finally here and the roads are clean from the recent rains. So I decided to fire up the Evo. The fuel in it is from the beginning of August 2013 and the tank was three quarters full. I decided to drain it and install some fresh E85 from Mollies in Manheim Pa.
Below is two pictures of the old and new E85. The new has a black rubber cap in it.
I use 1.5 oz's of Lucas Safeguard Ethanol Fuel Conditioner with Stabilizers per gallon.
As can be seen here, the nine month fuel has a different color then the fresh fuel.
There was no visible rust, water etc. in the old fuel. It smelled the same, but I am glad I drained it and replaced it with fresh E85.
The vehicle is kept in a climate controlled building with low humidity. The old fuel may have worked just fine

haha better late then never Don.
The gas station told me the color will vary based on the fermentation process once the ethanol is made.
I think its a good thing you drained that out though.

Heres a craptastic iphone pic in the dark with an overhead LED light as i was being attacked by all kinds of bugs. But I installed a DEI turbo blanket. I also have done a bunch of testing with various inline fuel filters.

Fuelab, Kinsler Monster mesh, Kinsler 3/8" barb throw away, and The Fore innovations.

Out of them all the Fore innovation one has the least restriction when blowing through it with fuel in it.
2nd was the kinsler 3/8" barb (same one sold in the buschur double pumper kit)
3rd was the kinsler monster mesh
4th was fuelab.
I am going to be installing the fore innovation soon and keeping that there. After i get my exhaust issue sorted, it hits the driveshaft bracket, I will do more power tuning. Im also going to put a little more miles on the car first.
I also am installing the JUN baffled oil pan same as I had before.
Also the Tomei crank scraper kit as well.

Yes there is. But I doubt it will matter. My test method isn't exactly the best either.
One can only blow so much PSI.

The Fore innovation one is on some 2000WHP GTR's.
Thanks Ozzie. Car is dirty right now from all the pollen and stuff.
