Mitsubishi Galant build thread 4g64 (pic heavy)
Hello everyone.
My name is Jose and I own a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES grocery getter.
I feel awkward coming into this forum and it’s hard for me to write anything that would be useful for an Evo or lancer owner only because I’m around a lot of big contenders like supped up Evos dropping a few grand on motors alone. I’ve been creeping around here for a few months before creating this account. Then my first comment was "subscribed" -_-
I will keep my comments here in this thread and hope I could get help from you guys with any question. Please subscribe and post any pointers and suggestions on what you see. My Galant looks fast but looks are deceiving
Looking into boosting my 4g64. Collecting parts from Evo 8 and 9 to make this car get groceries faster
History behind the paint: Had someone run me off the road making me encounter a sign on a major highway doing about 45 at the time of impact. Made the sign come off the ground, caving the roof in and destroying the back windshield. I then saved a few dollars and went to the junk yard. Picked up a front bumper for less than $50 and that’s when I started putting my car together. Here is the event in sequence as the year unfolded. Plus a few photo shoots J

Fixed the roof

Back window is in with no tint

Dipped

Reading laps from the diamante

Dyno runs

Wal-Mart parking lot with her angry face for the photo-shoot

Father’s day weekend: car swap meet
How many people does it take to change springs lol

This is the place I go to get my lights, tint, audio, and everything in between
You can see in this picture the new break lights

Nice work so far, Iam sure you will find some interesting builds on thegalantcenter if you haven't checked it out already...
I've moved on to an Evo9 but still mod my 7G Galant as well. Good luck in getting it together...

Hey phizzalot we are both on tgc. Im mainly on here to lurk and buy parts.
Hard to make friend here when they think galants are a pos. I understand im slow and you can tell by the dyno run i posted but the reason im here is because i want to post more dyno runs. Gain whp.
Dont make as much money to buy an evo. Only here to gain info and insight on how to make my Galant keep up.

Hey there @gallant , pretty much same DMG to my galant, cept it was a hitch instead of a pole. I was curious about the bolts and fasteners used to replace bumper and the such, and how you replaced the radiator support or did u pull it out?
8g is from 99-03
The 02 and 03's have a different bumper. Had to cut metal off the support to fit the 99 bumper on my gallant. Example pic #8 and #9 the difference between the headlights
I pulled the radiator support out. Example pic #5 with the chain plus pick up truck
