Here the crank is getting lightened, strengthened and balanced. You can see some internals in the first pic.

I got my break in oil as well as the oil I'll be running once the motor is broken in.

So it begins....

Stripped the interior to bolt in the cage

Fitment was spot on, it is an Autopower roll bar with custom plates under the main hoop.

Stripped the firewall. Lots of cleaning. Also removed the ac evaporator.

Here's the beginning of the wire tuck, just taking it all apart.

Got my dash wrapped in suede. Should help keep the sun out of my eyes.

I did some small rust removal on the radiator support and engine bay prep for paint.

Crank is balanced and lightened.

Great job and patience! With the dash wrap, will that effect the air bag at all? Keep up the great work! It's worth it in the end!

Yes it probably would. I have my entire seatbelt and airbag system removed since I am running a 6 point harness with HANS.

Thanks guys!

More updates soon

Here are a few updates
Block being honed.

For whatever reason the Evo does not come with a dowel pin. Since this a stroker and the rotating assembly is being balanced it is critcal that the flywheel and crank can lock into place without play.
My machinest made a dowel pin to make it lock.

Upgraded the front suspension
whiteline 25mm sway
Perrin PSRS
Whiteline adjustable end links
Cusco adjustable end link mounts

Here's a close up of my new wiring.

Engine bay being reassembled. Abs polished and cleared, booster repainted etc

Brakes mounted

Lots of stuff coming in. Shortblock should be done this weekend.
Head was shipped by curt today.

TRE should be finishing my tcase and trans up today.

That dowel pin idea is interesting and if that works out long term I might do the same!
