Thanks! Besides the Evo, between my neighbor and I we have 4 GSXs. So it's an on going build phase that seems to never end.

Trans looks good!! So did you get the tcase out before pulling the motor then, it looks like? I didn't think the tcase comes out till the block is out, ive fought that Damn thing pulling motors, dropping em back in lol.

I tried the recommended way of dropping the tcase, which involves lower the front suspension a little bit and dropping it out of the bottom. However that didn't work for me. So I removed the head first. Completely unbolted tcase and everything connected to it. And with the head off I rotated the tcase up and out in between the firewall and short block. Then I removed the trans and short block out as a whole.

The transfer case is pretty easy to get out with only 2 motor mounts removed, You have to remove the 4 bolts on the rear and then the little piece they were holding on. Push the engine forward and the T Case practically falls out

Ceramic coated all of my exhaust parts. So pretty!

I'm thankful to own a Ceramic and Powder coating shop.

Update: Finally received my head, block and rotating assembly back from the machine shop. I reassembled the head partially so far, painted the block and cleaned up the pistons.

I know this is an old thread, but man, you have some great pics of your build going on in here. I'm about to go the same route with my 05. Got any more pics and results of your build? Looking to do a similar set up. Def going with the 2.3 liter stroker kit. Post some more if you got them man. Thanks
