rpmwhor evo 8 newbie build e85
rpmwhor evo 8 newbie build e85
I purchased a 2003 evo 8 in november with 100k miles. this is my first evo and previously I've owned Honda's. I still have my s2000 though. I'm in wichita, kansas.
I started working on it last night and so far I've removed the following list.
the whole turbo assembly( Including manifold and downpipe)
Radiator
IC piping
Throttle body
Fuel rail and injectors
Tomorrow I'll try to get the Intake manifold out. Also, get some pics uploaded.
I'm sure I'll need plenty of advice and instructions along the way from the much experienced members. (YOU!)
Thank you.

Until something fails internally, I won't touch the internals. I'll stay within 400-425 tq. My plan is to have all the external mods done sufficiently so when the time comes I can jump into the internals.
Hey bro! I'm also from Wichita, KS on the east side. I actually just started working on the Evo again. I Just got done with replacing the timing belt/balance belt and installed Camshafts. A little advice, since you have the throttle body out, replace the seals, they leak. Also check your injector seals, they also leak. Once you put everything back together do a boost leak test. It will save you doing additional work when you start tuning the car. Let me know if I can help you out.
