Resurrection advice needed, 9 guts into 8 roller.
So long story short, I live in Canada and imported a IX in 2011. 2015 I crashed it and been waiting to get roller since.
That has happened as of yesterday.
Roller is 2004 8 with no engine, drivetrain, transmission or lights. Or cluster. Or ECU. I don't need 'em cause 9 stuff from my wreck.
Am I missing anything essential to pull/swap?
All engine, ACD, ECU and light electrics come outta both cars and I use all the stuff from 9. HID's, cluster and ACD wiring is not compatible, correct?
Do I need to worry about ETACS stuff at all?
I'm going to drop rear diff off old car today, is it a good idea to re-stack plates myself in my apartment or is that gonna be a bad idea?
Can I leave steering stuff on new car or do I need to swap from wreck?
Yes, I've tried several searches for guys who've done this but I get 10 pages of not what I need, so keep the peanut gallery zipped!
I'll post up pics later when I figure out how to do it from my phone...if I figure out how to do it from my phone...I'm old, shut up.

Hello,
- Most of the parts are common. The only thing that you will need to put from the evo 9 to the 8 is the engine harness complet with the ECU, because evo 9 has MIVEC.
- If the evo 8 has ACD, then the system is identical.
- Steering stuff are the same.
- Regaring the rear diff. No if you don't know what are you doing. You need some proper tools to check clearances and torques.

Hopefully this helps more than it confuses things:
I have a JDM Evo 8 (ACD + AYC). A long time ago I attempted to run an Evo 9 ACD ECU. It seemed to work until I hit the brakes and from what I recall, I worked out that the SRS ECU in the 9 communicated differently with regards to ABS (hence the ACD throwing an error when I got the brakes). I understand that the ABS response in the 9 is more refined than in the 8.

Thanks, means I'll pretty much rip all the wiring from both and use the 9 stuff to avoid any issues like that. Plus that's a gremlin chase I don't wanna deal with.

Thoughts on suspension to do while it's all a mess.
Swift Spec R(4M017R)
Whiteline BMR65XZ 24mm rear sway bar
SuperPro Front Roll Centre Kit TRC0001
Anything else to go along with that?
I already have a pile o gear to go on, some stock, some power and a sweet 2din Android head unit(Atoto A6 Pro if anyone cares) so looking to kinda dial street suspension set up.
