What are you using for the trans/tcase/rear diff?

Awesome car!!! Glad to see the 3g getting some love.
Had the exact same year and color eclipse only it was a GS. Ran low 15s stop quick for a non-turbo 4 cylinder car. Loved that car considered doing exactly what you did awd conversion with an evo platform and turboing the 4G64. But kids came and I thought I need a car with four doors. Sold it and got a evo 8 spent all my time/money rebuilding that.
The 3g eclipses really don't get any love from the tuning community, but they are great cars. Glad to see there is still love for the eclipses.

Thanks!
Yeah they have a ton in common with other mitsubishis in similar years. They get tuned the same, many of the same parts fit or can be adapted, etc. Yeah the 4cyl 3gs are simple to make awd and turbo. I considered doing the swap for a fun daily. All the same parts are used to convert the v6 to awd besides the trans!

I was checking over my pre-turbo piping and noticed some carbon build up around the tube for the wastegate. Turns out the piping cracked and needed to be rewelded. My buddy fixed it and added gussets to prevent it from happening again. It came out pretty good! I plan to have the pre-turbo piping ceramic coated before spring to keep engine bay temps down.

<3!!!! this makes me miss my 3G sooo bad!!! i had a 4g64, and was in the process of a turbo awd build on her too before life took over and threw a wrench in that. i still have a soft spot for these things even now that i have my evo. SO glad to see the 6g75 getting some lovin' too

OP, you've done an AWD conversion, an engine swap, and you're making more than 700hp, how can we be offended? This car is awesome! Nice work and congrats on the latest time slip. 3.8L AWD V6 ? Is it possible to convert to a manual if you wanted to? If so, what trans would you use?

I have a video on Facebook. The embed iframe links don't seem to work on this forum though and it won't let me download to upload elsewhere.
Tbh I love the way these things look. It's just the lack of power and aftermarket support that drives people away. If they had an AWD turbo option it would have been a respectable car. At least for the 4cyl 3G's it's really simple to convert to that
Hey thanks man! And you never know; I've been given a lot of **** over the years from DSM and Evo owners so I needed a disclaimer Yeah 3.8L AWD. The 3000GT AWD manual trans bolts up but it's on the wrong side of the engine bay. Only option is a custom bell housing or adapter plate with an Evo trans. I've thought about going manual but the car is already fun and I'd rather put that money into other areas of the car.

This thing must be a blast to drive. Good to know there are options out there. Hopefully your build will motivate more people to do this. So much potential here.

I hope it does too. There's been a few other turbo 3G's but I've never seen another noteworthy auto. I'm always open to giving info on my build! And when the roads clear I'll be trying to break some more records and have quite a few more updates to post

After doing some disassembling I've converted my stock auto rom to "big maps" and found the 2 byte load and airflow values (no need for 2 byte rpm since I don't rev that high). Can anyone with more experience verify my 2 byte values? TIA
