Hi, im new to the forum. I have an eclipse gs 1st gen. 4g63.
want to make it turbo. Its easier to find evo parts. Do the crankshaft, pistons, piston rods fit? If not what parts fit if any?

I see you are from Croatia, but in the US, the turbo's from a EVO and DSM are not really able to be interchanged at all. Twin scroll vs single scroll, also notice on a DSM the air intake sits on the passenger side while the evo in on the drivers. Too many issues to be worth while.

Honestly, turboing a non turbo is probably not worth the time and effort if you can just but a regular turbo'd DSM (or EVO). My .02

I had a friend with a GS that attempted to turbo his car and halfway through collecting the parts he ended up finding a wrecked GST and pulled the powerplant from there.
That would be your cheapest and easiest route.

Thanks goys for your replies. There is no possible way to find a gsx in Croatia. My eclipse is one of 5 registered in the whole country. Here people wuld rather have a vw golf...
that aside. Im having some trouble of finding parts because i dont know some real names of the components in english.
The component im searching for now is crankshaft rod, and main bearings. But i need the specialised kind. Having to polish my crankshaft, i need a special dimension. If you know what i mean and you probably do. Can you tell me how wuld you call that part correctly in english. Thanks for the support guys. Im ordering all my parts online since Croatia is low on the demand for them, you cannot find them here.
