As im taking the bearing out i noticed it looked like someone was hitting it with a screwdriver then i get the thing off and the back was what looked like blown out good thing i have a new bearing but the transmission retainer is damaged as well so I just ordered a new one.

Good news the battery air filter and some more bits and pieces arrived dont forget to check out the instagram (@kraziee8) for more updates! Thanks for all the help guys I'm sure it's all gonna be worth it in the end!

A gallon of water in the lower inter cooler pipe/cooler? How how does that just happen? Have you checked the oil? At a minimum you should take the upper ic pipe off and check the throttle body and peek down the spark plug holes.

Upper pipe was since removed by the previous guy that worked on it so I assume the open tube collected water I've checked plugs (look good) and oil (looks ok) and the motor turns over by hand. Assuming the IC pipe that was left open was collecting water through the hood vent

Alright guys so I removed the turbo and manifold, the studs and bolts were pretty rusty so I removed them and ordered new ones I also got a used evo 9 turbo with a aftermarket 02 housing. I just placed an order with STM Tuned here's what's on the way!

STM Turbo/manifold gasket
Mitsubishi accessories belt
STM stopping kit with stoptech rotors and hawk pads
NGK Iridium IX sparkplugs
Redline RL-600 dot 4 brake fluid
denso front 02 sensor
Mishimoto Radiator hoses
Mitsubishi coolant
Mitsubishi oem exhaust manifold gasket
ARP stainless exhaust manifold studs

My buddys is also selling me a 3"downpipe and possibly some GSC S1 cams.

Hopefully this is all I need to get her back up and running minus a new tune, engine oil, tires and fresh fuel!

Got the parts in!

a couple days ago a buddy and I removed the manifold and the" swamp" turbo along with studs only having trouble with one stud in the middle and the 2 bigger ones on the ends.
I was curious if I should clean out the IC and charge pipes just incase and what I should use? CLR? simple green?
also was wondering if you guys had any tire recommendations some that I could still go too Tahoe if i wanted too? Thanks guys.

Cant wait to get this thing running finally!!!

Alright got the last stud out and found out the 02 housing on the evo9 turbo is cracked inside. So gonna need a new one of those.. my buddy took my turbo and is going to blast the manifold and clean everything up I also ordered a rebuild kit with the upgraded thrust bearings. One thing after another lol closer and closer.

Alright so im so sorry for not updating this post... im working on that..

Updates as they happened....

My buddy and I cracked open the EVO 9 Turbo and found the blades inside the hotside were chewed up pretty bad... so i went on EBAY not knowing much about fitment with these motors/Turbos and ordered a Anti-surge housing with 20G - Turbo
turns out the housing is barely touching the block.. is this an issue? I feel like it would be..

Anyways got the turbos cleaned up and my buddy put everything back together for me... lol only thing is he put the evo 8 hotside back on.. lol so i had to swap the evo 9 hotside, after further inspection found out that it was also cracked in 2 places.. oh boy here we go again.. lol

So I've been searching and searching for a 10.5 hotside or evo 9 turbo and haven't had any luck or it just wasn't what I was looking for.. now just a couple days ago I'm at a local car meet and my buddy says he still has his old evo9 turbo and isn't going to be using it anymore and let me have it for a great price, he also gave me an intake as well as an upper IC pipe (can I run just upper?). I cracked the turbo yesterday and it all looks good I think I'm going to just throw this 9 turbo on and leave the antisurge housing i bought unless you guys think i an use it still? i would love to I just think I might need a new manifold??

I also got some more parts from another evo buddy - BC stage 1 cams, 1200CC injectors and a upgraded boost solenoid.

Sorry its been taking literally YEARS even after its sat for YEARS id say its been about 10 since its been started.... do you recommend checking anything else before i go for the first start?? BUT I Promise shell be back better than ever!!!
