Finally able to get to this project, so progress might be slow for a few but hopefully consistent. Bought a 03 Evo 8 shell and what was suppose to be a a good Evo9 longblock with some extras back in the summer of 2017. Original plans were stock bottom, arp rods & mains, fresh rings, bearings, 62/62 JB and still undecided on turbo manifold. Coming from the Honda scene thought that dirtbags would be few and far in the Mitsu scene, WRONG!!!!! Spun bearing on Evo9 block, cylinder 1 rod bearing fused to rod. Basically junked original plans and started gathering parts, Bottom end: Wiseco HD1400 10:5:1, brand new oem crank, buschur oil pan, STM balance shaft delete kit, Manley turbo tuff I-beam rods, Brand new OEM oil pick up, oil pump w/ front case, water pump, oil filter housing and oil baffle plate. For the head went GSC S2's cams, supertech dual valve springs, valves intake/exhaust w/guides, no porting done to head. Using a buschur intake manifold w/ETS 4in intercooler. Will update with pics when I can as I'm still in school as well as daddy duties. Thanks for looking and any advice is welcome. ETS 4in intercooler Already installed Evo9 engine harness, have to dig up all the older pics. TEC locally here did the machine work. Block has been sitting for over a year, starting to run into a little rust on block from sitting if anyone has a trick to keep it from spreading please do share. If i must I'll send back to machine shop and probably would go with Machines gone wild (MGW) Manley turbo tuff I-beam rods, acl bearings, arp rod and main bolts. Misc parts Hopefully can put this puzzle together. Rusting on block spreading to deck, need to contain it. More part's Once its up and running I'll focus on body.

Sweeeeeet! I'm doing sort of the exact same thing. Well, mine is the peasant stock car version but hey, it's an Evo!
Yea I notice both are white with silver hoods. Yours is coming along very nicely with motor already in. Hopefully I can get motor in beginning of next year.
