Where do I start, I always wanted an Evo 8/9 at some point in my life. So in 2017 I came across what is now my car browsing a facebook group 500hp+ Cars for Sale while having a bathroom meeting. Then 2 days later I was on a plane to Miami, Florida to check out the car, meet the owner then and his engine builder.
The day I purchased my Evo 8 in 2017.
Few weeks before I stumbled upon the car it was tuned by Chris Carbee of Slowpoke Tuning.
First thing I did was change out the ehhh Tein coilovers for Ohlin R&T coilovers and Girorotor rotors front and rear
On the interior I changed things up a bit. Works Bell quick disconnect, and CAE shifter
Then kinda jumping a few years to skip digging for pictures. This car has a profound connection with me by way of the fact it has protected me in some freakish situations where there was no damage to me and no injury to me. The event that sealed the fate of the car as mine forever is being parked in the parking lot of my apartment in Lake Charles, LA during Hurricane Laura August 28, 2020. Below are pictures of the day I went to pick up the car from my apartment complex. You can see in the second picture my apartment building which had an exterior staircase ripped off along with the roof over my apartment which was on the 3rd floor. I walked around the car and found there was absolutely no damage.
I will post more pictures tomorrow need to get the last couple months organized.
This is a BIG post. I spent Post-Hurricane Laura to January 2022 planning and getting all my parts I would need ordered or on the list to get. I have studied the TRC Evo now @Abacus, and a few other big power Evo's that have been built very well and have been reliable. I think I have planned and have been executing what should be a very reliable 900whp street car and it won't see a drag strip.

Once I have the car driving I am starting to get parts compiled for doing Electric Power Steering. After quite a bit of research I have found that this EPS that is reinforced for harsher use is as identical as it can get to the EPS that is used in 996/997 Porsche Motorsport Cup cars for penny's in comparison to Porsche Motorsports $1700+ USED so I am going to be get one of them. Then for feed and return like I did for my fuel lines use stainless pipe between the front and rear axles.
Then once I have the EPS done, onto doing a DaviesCraig EWP-115 electric water pump setup
After that I will be getting one of the new Emtron ED10S dashes and start getting wiring supplies gathered to do tandem ECUmaster PMU16-DL PDM setup for all chassis electrical.
Between front and rear axles the fuel system has
RaceTronix Weld-on 10AN Stainless Bung
RaceTronix Weld-on 8AN Stainless Bung 10AN Feed is 5/8" OD X .065" wall X .495" ID 304 Stainless Round Tube
8AN Return is 1/2" OD X .065" wall X .370" ID 304 Stainless Round Tube
All fuel line and crank case vent line is RaceFlux
Driver-Side 8AN Fuel Return Stainless .065 wall Pipe w/ Racetronix Stainless Weld-on 8AN ID is 100% Concentric with pipe
Passenger-Side 10AN Fuel Feed Stainless .065 wall Pipe w/ Racetronix Stainless Weld-on 10AN ID is 100% Concentric with pipe
Daaaammmmmmnnnnn son I am definately subbed to this thread.
Thank you!

I needed something to keep myself from going insane while I was unemployed August 5th to Oct 5th this year. So I was determined to overcoming what I thought was a distaste for wiring but turns out it kept me grounded (pun intended) while waiting on call backs and emails from potential employers. If I hadn't done it I think I would have had multiple anxiety and panic attacks. Through it all I gained a love for new wiring but I still hate hunting through old wiring and OEM harness's
The only things I would do differently would be a 94mm crank and carrillo rods. 8.5-9:1 is a good place to be. The crank is just going to make everything better.
I'd also go with the proven Xona 9569 or 10569. The next gen PTE is also really nice, but with how well the 9569/10569 works its hard to beat. Its the newer version of the super 99. Dan's silver evo makes 1100whp and runs a 3.3 60-130mph on the street.
Could also consider an exedy triple. They drive nice and have a good track record.

Should be a fun car!
I totally agree with you on the 94mm crank and a Xona. This current engine combo I have built is a result of investing in the best possible engine harness and engine management with a simple engine refresh. I am starting simple with I/O then adding in EPS, EWP, DBW, E-gate, DBW controlled torque management, etc. via the Emtron for even more control. When I refresh the engine after 20k miles of mixed variety of semi-daily driving, long distance I plan on doing a 94mm crank and Xona 10569S. Prior to doing the 2.2L/10569S combo though I will have a ton of data that will help me build the perfect 2.2L. The goal is to learn and keep learning more.

That combo would be similar to mine. You can get basically the same turbo I have for half of what that Xona costs. I did go the s369 route and for 320 bucks more have the s372 so under 1000 bucks have basically same turbo. I know alot of people don't really know about Forced Inductions but trust me they make bad *** turbos hands down.

I am familiar with Forced Inductions turbos definitely nice stuff, and I just saw they have V-band housings which is what my DrivenFab manifold is. I may change to a S369 once I get use to the power the turbo I currently have.
