Engine swap for potential build
I'd imagine if you can mount the engine and hook transmission up the rest is wires and ECU. So like, look at some diagrams(don't ask me from where) to figure out mounting/mating differences between stuff?

I just personally wouldn't bother. The X is an ok chassis but if you are going to do that much custom work, you might as well do it in something you either love the look of or is an excellent chassis.
If you got the project without a driveline, I'd stick the 4b11 back in it. For the cost of doing a project like this, you'll end up with something that while unique, isn't exactly useful.

I simply pointed out that with that much custom work, there are a ton of options out there and unless he is in love with the look of the X, its probably worth looking at other stuff.
