Diameter of the pipe going into the intercooler is 2.25"

No plans for upper piping, but if the interest is high I can give Jimmy mine for him to mock some up.

hmmm Well I really want a complete pipe kit- upper/lower and silicon couplers. If he can put something together like that- that will work with the stock airbox- then I'm in for sure!!!

I don't understand your question. It sounds like the other question you asked. If you are asking what the diameter of the stock pipe is it has a section that is 1.75" and transitions to 2.25" whereas the FG LICP has a small section that transitions from 1.75" to 2.25" and almost the whole pipe is 2.25". There is a side by side comparison on the website I posted. I hope that answers your question.

Almost...sorry I was not clear.

What is the diameter of the inlet that goes into the stock FMIC. It sounds like 2.25" Although I thought the IC was 2.5" inlet on both sides. I am just trying to see why they didn't do a full 2.5", although if the IC can't support it then it would make sense why. Thanks and sorry for the dumb questions. I just want to be sure b4 I order anything.

Oh OK, got ya. I could be wrong, the diameter of the inlet to the intercooler could well be 2.5", but the LICP is the same diameter as the inlet for the intercooler.

The final test fitting is this week, people! I talked to the driver of the test vehicle (Wrick) after the initial fitting and he said that it did give faster spool. Should be any day now.

Another Update

Okay, first I would like to appologize for how long this is taking. I have been swamped here recently at work and my friend Jimmy has been busy himself running his shop.

Last night we got together and devloped "version II" of the pipe. The difference being that the pipe necks up to meet the turbo outlet pipe, and there will be NO flex section being used at all. The 1.75" to 2.25" transition is right there so almost the whole pipe will be 2.25". There will be a 1.75" coupler included in this. This is a very nice piece and will be ready soon.

I have to admit, this stuff is kinda fun. I felt like Vinny from OCC last night...lol

Hey get back in your box buddy, LOL.

I got a chance to show up at the last minute and had a quick pic at the version 2.0, if you will, mock up piece. It looks very promising and being able to totally emlinate that flex section definitely will set this pipe apart from the others. This should be one of those first mods that you do. Definitely worth it.
