can't really tell from the pics, can this be configured with two single-din pieces or a full 2din nav screen? or is it just a 2 single-din slot unit?

 

yes u can use a single din headunit, and it includes a "pocket" to go where the other half of the double din is, so that its not empty space.

 

That's correct this can be used with a single or double din stereo. The pocket is included if you want to use a single din stereo. Overall it's really simple to replace the stereo and this kit looks really good. I have a double din nav unit and it's pretty sweet. Took about 25 minutes to install!!
