EVO RALLIART Coilovers

These are not perfect. They developed a clunk in one of the front ones. I took it to a mechanic here (I am in Korea) and he said that is because it was cold (the clunk started in mid Feb and I took them off today) and that sometimes coilovers do that in the cold. I don't know how true that is, that is just what he told me. That one also has a ripped dust cover because I was tightening it up and the dust cover twisted and ripped- I did that last week. I know nothing about coilovers, who knows - it might be something simple. My simple solution was to just buy a new set. It appears not to be leaking or not blown.

I had them on the car for less than two years and put about 7000 miles on them. I bought them from Gruppe-s in the spring of 2005 (check out their site if you want to know about them). I am up to any descent offers or trades. Shipping is gonna be USPS (I am guessing $75 for priority - I am at an APO and they are heavy - I just lugged them up 5 flights of stairs) and they will take 7-10days to get to you. I can get you dirty pics right now because they just came off the car or clean pics over the weekend if you want, just give me an email address.

how much did you spend on them?

so, the only real problem is that one of them makes a Clunk noise when it's cold? does that noise mean something is wrong or is it that its just not oiled enough or something

I think I spent $1600 from Gruppe-s. I hear a slight clunk on the one front. I knew it was one of the shocks because I took them off and switched them - the clunk moved from the passenger side to the drivers. I couple weeeks ago I took it to a mechanic here and he stated that there seems to be nothing wrong as of leaks or if it was blown - that sometimes when it is cold they make noises. for the past month, most of the time I had a clunk. I personally know nothing about coilovers, other than turn knob to make soft or hard.
