After going thru some things i realized i still had the decompression gasket i was going to use on my lancer.

It's straight from RPW and it's the 1.10mm. Should drop you down to about a .5 compression ratio. Doesn't seem like much but that .5 is enough for boosting 2-3psi more safely.

Also this gasket doesn't require you to buy the cam gear... it's still thin enough to use the stocker.

4-6 hours labor involved. Pull head off... put in new gasket... put head back on. Done.

Will be able to push 11psi on stage 2 mapping with this gasket. Could possibly do more with some tuning.

 

11psi even w/ stock pistons and rods??? so aka, i could push 10psi w/ this and my engine would be safe? whoa! crazy, I get paid next week :P

 

YES... should be fine as long as you don't have detonation. I've pushed stock pistons and rods to 12-13psi before without decompression. Held up fine... after that rods broke, pistons failed, etc. So decompress and do 10psi all day long on the pump with same tune... i'd push 11 and watch egt's.

If you are still low and have no knock you should be fine all day long.
