FS: AVO Full 3" Cat Back Exhaust

SOLD

Having done a tremendous amount of research on exhaust systems looking for one which wasn't too loud but provided good power, I arrived at the AVO system. It's full 3" all the way through, whereas the Fujitsubo RMA01 necks down inside the resonators. This exhaust sounds deep, distinctive, throaty, and quiet compared to many other systems. The craftsmanship on this exhaust is second to none.

When I bought it, I posted this thread of my first impressions and several pictures. It's been a great system, and has absolutely nothing wrong with it at all (no rust/damage/etc). I've just decided to go a different route.

This system fits the Evo VIII and Evo IX perfectly.

$600 Shipped (plus 3% for PayPal)

Quick question...is the muffler section 3 inches in diameter too?

Good question! The inside diameter of the resonator within the muffler is between 2.75" and 3". If I had to guess, I'd say it's 2.85". As you can see in the pictures posted in the thread above, it's a straight through design.

bump for a badass exhaust. you should clean it up a little though. It might help you make a sale. It looks like crap in the pics.

Yeah, I didn't do anything with it except remove and snap those photos. I'm sure it would clean up nicely with a little elbow grease. Since it's under the car and bound to get dirty, keeping it polished was never my priority. Also, with less bling, it's more understated and stealthy...which I like very much.

I also have a 3" ID resonated test pipe that works well with this setup if anyone is interested.

so your initial comparison to Fujitsubo doesnt hold water since the avo knecks down as well, according to what you wrote here

The Fujitsubo has two resonators prior to the muffler, while the AVO has only one. That means less restriciton. Inside the two Fujitsubo resonators, the ID necks down to 2.5" or 2.75" (I don't recall, exactly). The AVO doesn't neck-down inside its resonator at all. It's full 3" all the way back to the muffler. Moreover, from everything that I've read about exhaust systems/pressure/flow restrictions, it's best to have a neck-down as far back in the system as possible (if you have one at all). In other words, this exhaust is better in terms of flow because the neck-down is at the farthest point from the turbine outlet, whereas the Fujitsubo introduces turbulence (at two places) well upstream from this.

This exhaust provides an excellent balance between allowing big power and having neighbors that don't hate you.
