Testing waters: Built Evo head for sale

I have a spare evo head I was planning on using for autocross...turns out I need money for better rims and tires which cost a lot. The head is in the machine shop and probably won't be finished for another 2-4 weeks, it will fit any Evo 8 (non mivec). The head has never suffered any damage, (never bent any valves or anything) I took it apart and had it rebuilt to handle higher revs and increased flow. Here is the low down:

-No cams
-No rocker arms (I have used ones you can have for free if you really want em)
-Resurfaced
-Brian Crower springs with titatium retainers
- +1 mm oversized high flow valves (forged) (bowls are being blended)
- 3 angle valve job
-16 Brand new bronze manganese valve guides
-16 brand new high temp viton valve stem seals
-32 brand new keepers (heat treated)
-16 brand new revised 3mm 3rd gen hydraulic lifters

You can low ball me all you want, I'll take no offense, just post up what you think is a fair price. I will be posting pics once the head comes out of the machine shop. The valve springs have enough seat pressure to safely rev to around 9000-10,000 rpm without any risk of floating the valves. Perfect for those of you with the built high reving 2.0L or destroked 2.1's! NO trades, cash only. I'm looking to get around $1600. Keep in mind that stock Evo heads go for over a thousand (used), and this one has been freshly machined and has all new parts. The parts alone cost me $800 (not including machine shop labor) so I think this is a fair deal.

I should also mention that the machine shop doing the work for me is none other than Jackson Auto Machine (JAM), who is probably the best 4G63 machine shop on the east coast (or in the entire US for that matter). They are also a vendor on this site. The performance of this head will not disappoint.

any port work done to it?or does the increased flow come from the valve job etc?

The increased flow comes from the over-sized valves, the bowl blending, and the three angle valve job. Rev capability will be increased by lighter valves and retainers and heavier springs.

Thanks for the bump Charles, I will be doing the 2.4, but I won't have it built until later this winter. I will be adding on a GT35R along with it so it won't be cheap, might take a while to save up for it

Shoot, why such an understated endorsement? Why not just crown JAM "the best machine shop in North America, or this hemisphere, or the whole world"? You've have complete information about all the other machine shops to support your conclusion, right? ... LQTM

On balance, perhaps it would be more accurate to just say "JAM is a really good machine shop that I like alot..." Nobody would quarrel with that.

Anyway, bump for a good price for a modified head with nice parts.

Hahah thanks CO_VR4, I am a huge JAM fan, theres no denying that. I've been using their 4G63 parts & services since my early DSM days and have never been let down. They are a really great machine shop with a very long history of 4G63 performance, I'll just leave it at that
