FS: New ETS Metal Radiator Hose

Polished stainless. Brand new never installed. Will not fit with the RNR manifold.

The lovely people at ETS are trying to bang me for %20 restocking fee.

There is two weeks waiting on these they make them to order.

$100 shipped that is what I paid for it.

It costs them 20% to re-stock that small *** part that is made IN-HOUSE!!

This is one of the reasons I've sold off most of my ETS parts. I spent big amounts of money with them for myself and customers and they then tried to ream me for a 2K dollar "buy-in" for dealer pricing...

Ron,
The radiator hose kit you purchased is designed to work with stock and ETS manifolds. We do not guarantee fitment with others' manifolds, so I'm sorry if you feel misled in any way given that you're running an RNR manifold.

To address the remainder of your post: there are significantly more costs that go into an order from its conception to delivery than just the cost of the part itself, and a restocking fee recouperates some of these costs when a part is simply returned for a cash refund. We understand your concern and did offer a full in-store credit toward anything else (even non-ETS parts) you might like now or at any point in the future, so I feel it's fair that that's noted.

Erich,
We have a $2000 dealer buy-in so that we honor existing dealers that have made the effort to inventory, promote and distribute our products over the years (that did the same, or larger buy-in). That is no reflection on your history with us as a retail customer. I'm sorry you feel that that is unreasonable, but if you plan to proceed in making efforts to establish other dealer accounts I imagine you'll find our buy-in minimal, and terms very reasonable.

Tom

Were you unaware of the restocking fee before you purchased the hose? If ETS has any structure, which I'm sure they do, it does take more than just putting the part back onto a shelf. It needs to be received in, inspected, inventoried, among other things that all take time. Guess what, time = $$$. While not all companies have restocking fee's, those that do usually make it clear enough to the customer prior to completing an order. Was it unannounced to you prior to purchase? Shame on ETS if that is the case.

I am not mad about it not fitting I took a gamble on that...

I did not buy it off the website..I called an ordered it from you directly and did not read the terms and conditions.

I literaly just got it popped the hood saw it will not fit...

It's a really nice piece..it just won't clear my manifold.

Ive dealt with tom a pretty good bit through out my build and about to call about some more stuff for one of my customers car. Toms a stand up guy and you as the consumer need to understand all the policies of a place of business before you buy from them. They clearly state theyre policies so you have no leg to stand on when it comes to bashing them for a restocking fee. They have to pay someone to make your made to order part, so you are basically saying that they need to take that guys pay check back from him because you ordered the wrong part?

Im not bashing them at all.

Not one sentence I have said is bashing.

I said they are trying to bang me for a %20 restocking fee...lol which they are.

How am I bashing them?

%20 is a bit much..standard is %10, maybe %15...

It's all good someone will buy it...

No, that is not a valid assumption at all and not a valid reason for a restocking fee on an item like this. Will someone buy a never used TV that is out of box and has been returned to Best Buy for full retail, No. Will someone buy a new never been used radiator pipe or turbo kit that is clearly new and never used or in some cases even delivered to the person who originally ordered it for the same price from the OEM, yes.

Tom is a great guy, but I would agree that 20% seems a bit excessive and if you consider that there is a wait list for this item, it would be sold almost instantly. As far as taking away someone check for making it when it can clearly be sold at the same price, that's just ridiculous.

BTW, I like ETS, Tom is a stand up guy, and I would use their parts again. That does not mean that I have to agree with how they handle this aspect of their business and I believe that I am entitled to that opinion.
