CP Pistons stock bore, Eagle Rods
CP Pistons stock bore, Eagle Rods
Bought these and had them installed on my block to build a monster 2.0l, only to find out 20 mins in that my block had crank walk. FML
Then instead of buying a bare block and building it, I found a really cheap evo 8 complete motor so I bought it and am currently using it. I don't want a built motor anymore, I just want to drive to and from work without problems.
My loss is your gain. Notice my perfect feedback please and thank you. +
USED FOR LITERALLY 20 MINUTES THEN PULLED!!
DROP IN 9500RPM READY, PERFECT FOR THAT GUY PUSHING HIS STOCK BOTTOM END TO THE RAZOR'S EDGE!!!
(4) 85mm CP Pistons with rings, pins, locks assembled
(4) Eagle H-beam rods (stock length) , (8) ARP 2000 rod bolts assembled
**Has ACL rod bearings installed, but as I said, had crank walk and it's slightly visible on the bearing surface corners near seam... may need to be replaced but probably doesn't and you'd already have your bearings too. **
PRICE = $500 SHIPPED !!

Heard ticking from motor, figured it was lifters and replaced them.... still ticking.
Took motor apart to find 4th cylinder blew out side wall.
Took out stock parts, fixed 4th cylinder wall and sleeved, dropped in new parts (these)
Put all back together, ran twenty mins, still felt wrong. Decided to rip apart entire motor out of car and reassemble completely to rule out bad work. While apart, found out it had crank walk.
Found out a bare block from Mitsu was close to $3000 new, so instead of buying and building, I just found an entire engine for dirt cheap and have been using it for almost a year now. These have been wrapped in a towel, in a box, in my garage and on a shelf since then, running a maximum of 20 minutes.
Long story short, no, if you build your motor with these parts, you will not have crank walk. That was the fault of my crank and block, not these pistons and rods.
