Thats actually a front differential. The front differential is located in the tcase and the center diff is located in the trans.

Incorrect.

Both center and front diffs are located inside the transfercase. Best way to remember is think of ACD transfercase vs non ACD and how you need ACD downpipes to clear the tcase. The ACD is in the transfercase and not inside the transmission. Non ACD tcases use viscous coupling also located inside the tcase. The transmission basically just has the gears, syncros and the complementary parts to be able to shift gears...
