stupid question.... with the 2.3 would everything else be fine? you can still use the same cams etc... you have in the car? do things change when you add a turbo kit?

the 2.3 doesn't drastically change other requirements. There is more potential if you upgrade other components but it's not necessary. We will these ready to go within about 1 week. I am very limited in stock on the custom pistons but more are on the way.

Possibly a bigger turbo option than the one offered in your GT35RL kit?

I'm working on something now and should have something here to test within two weeks. The new combo will be slightly larger and should support another 50-70whp. On a 2.3L this turbo should spool as quick or quicker than the GT35R on a 2.0L and should lay down almost 700whp on a 2.3L. The specs on the turbo is a hush hush for now as it's a completely new setup built to my specifications but from all my turbo testing it looks like it should be promising. The best part is that it's compatible with our turbo kit and will be just another trim that we'll offer.

so if i have 10,000 miles on my evo and want to put in your kit, do i have to bore my cylinders or or just install it or what. Can you give us a quick rundown of what would be required to install the kit?? Ray

very nice indded. dose this meen you guys will be trying to beat RC Developments EVO 6 (930bhp approx)? now that would be nice to see. LOL. how reliable is the kit at 9000rpm? i ask coz JUN 2.2 are normaly only taken to 8.5K. also what sort of boost have you run these to?

on the turbo, is it a GT35/40 (thats GT35 hot side and GT40 cold)? these work well on 2.3s.

or how about a bigger GT35/42 (as above but GT42 cold side)?

thanks Chris.

PS /\/\/\/\/\/\ very good question rraulaton. will you be offering more than one piston diam.?

Unless you damaged your pistons and they scuffed the walls I'd say 99% of the evo's out there can use stock bore pistons. All that needs to be done is to break the glaze on the cylinder walls or use a fine grit ball hone. There is no need to bore the block unless there is cylinder wall damage. We can offer .020" pistons but you'de be shortening the life of the block. I'm doing an engine build article for modified magazine now and that should hit the stand in a few months.

Under the GT35 and GT42 or GT40 family are different sizes of compressor and exhaust wheels, along with different trims. So you'd have to be more specific when talking about a GTXX. The turbo we're working on will be from the Garrett GT series of wheels.

Regards,

Martin

sorry for being a bit imprecise, i was just guesing on what the ruff size of the. some of the guys over here are running the GT35R (large housing) on the exhaust with the GT40/42 (small housings i think) for the compresors. they are monsters but seam to make big numbers on 2.3s

a question about your stroker. what compresion ratio will it produce? be nice to see say a 9.0-1 to help a little with spool and torque!

thanks Chris.

Actually I'm dropping compression down to 8.5:1 (from 8.8:1). Not much of a difference but I want to be able to run 40psi of boost no problem. The .3 lower compression will not really hurt horsepower or spool up, but will make it easier to tune at higher boost (less chance for detonation). It's safer to make high HP on low compression & high boost than high compression & lower boost.

Man I was already set on getting your internals for the 2.0. Now I am considering your stroker kit. Hmm, decisions decisions. Oh well, I have a while to think about it while you guys test them out as I still have to save up the mulla.
