evo 9 engine in evo 8

hia im helping a buddy that been stuck for a few YEARS ... first things first, i havent touched a evo before..

they did a engine swap in a evo 8 to a evo 9 engine, complete with evo 9 harness.
running a plug n play link g4 ECU. but never got around to configuring the link properly

ive managed to set up everything so that i could test run the injectors and test the triggers wich all seems to be working fine. also did a recalibrate on the map sensor and calibrated the TPS. every sensor seems to be giving the right value but the intake temp wich was stuck at 100 degrees celsius, the log said 0v/gnd on that input so im thinking faulty sensor or a cable that messed up

now the problem is the fuel pump doesnt run, its listed in the link on ignition aux 3 (1 and 2 is for the waste spark) i have no idea if that matches up with the wiring on a evo 8 ?

what could they have missed, im thinking theres a relay problem cause i couldnt hear any clicking. but didnt have time to actually follow up the cables.

i desperately could use some tips, it should be pretty straight forward since its a plugin link with a 9 engine and 9 harness right ?

i did notice the gearbox cable needs to have the connector changed atleast, but thats as far as i got with that today

also, i was wondering about the immobilizer ? how does it work ive been looking around and it seems to be a separate box for it ? should it already be disabled since theres a link ECU in it ? or do i have to disable it anyhow?

was also able to test run the ignition, but it seems only 1 channel worked, the left ignition coil clicked fast when activating the test in the link on channel 1 but the right one was dead silent when activating channel 2, anyone have any tips here ? i SHOULD hear a ticking noise when testing from the link right ?

im gonna take some pictures next time im there, but we where in kind of a hurry today.

also theres the 3 connector link ECU and beside that one is another small box, with alot of cables into it and only 3 that goes in beside the gear stick is that the immobilizer box ?

i know i know, alot of questions, but its a maze trying to find out what other people has done at the same time you are learning a new car

cheers!

Dunno about the aftermarket ecu but the factory computer won't trigger the fuel pump without a crank signal. The factory fuel pump control uses a high and low voltage circuit. Ill post up a wiring diagram when I can get back to my pc.

Thanks mate that would be helpful. The aftermarket ecu has fuel pump prime settings so it should work a little diffrent than the stock. And im sur i have both crank and cam trigger signals since they show up in the log

as you can see if you supply ground to pin 21 of harness C-121 it should activate the low voltage circuit. If you supply ground to pin 21 C-121 and Pin 55 C-119 it should activate the high voltage circuit.
