SSL + Coilover Adjustment

Hey guys, I've got the remote adjusters for my coilovers but the angle that is required to clear the stock sub enclosure makes it impossible to turn the knob once installed.

Does anyone have any novel solution to this? I thought about drilling a hole through the enclosure and making a longer cable for the adjuster, anyone done that? I don't care enough about the audo quality to worry about 2 tiny holes in the enclosure.

(never done it this way)
