Duraflex Rally Front Lip

What's up forum? With the lack of information out there for replacement parts or reviews I will be posting up my recent purchases and giving an overview of them. Trying to find a decent and undamaged front lip is nearly impossible. Even with the one part out car that came up within the last several months the lip was still Jerry-Rigged. Not wanting to pay the dealership price with a delivery date several months out I opted to purchase this one.

You can find it on Ebay and the link is below.

I received it a couple days early and was well packaged. So if your in a rush this is the way to go. At a first glance it looks identical and well made. However there is a couple things I found that seem to make me question fitment issues.

If you notice where the bolt is you can clearly see a build up of material. Don't know if this is going to be an issue of it resting against the bumper smoothly yet. But once the rest of the body is ready I will try to fit it and update if it is an issue and my conclusion.

Here are a couple more pictures of the progress.

Before the clear coats.

After the clear coats. The side skirts haven't been installed yet.

Test fitment.

Bolted up, I had to cut some of the build up off as expected. You can see some of the black material on the bumper.

As you can see this section fits snug against the body.

Minor imperfection but I can live with it.

Same minor imperfection like the drivers side.

I am in the market for a new OEM front lip... how much did you pay for this? I would be worried about how unforgiving fiberglass is.

that lip actually looks pretty bad...are you sure that's a legit duraflex product? That's unfortunate for many Ralliart owners...can't count how many I've seen around with no lip and a bumper full of holes. If it is a genuine Duraflex I hope that's not the kind of quality to expect from their full body kits...Although I wouldn't likely buy a body kit myself, I don't know of many other body kit makers for this chassis.

I'm also curious of the price as well, cause OEM front lip is like $325...

I paid a total of $202.00 for it shipped. This is a fiberglass reinforced plastic lip. It is very pliable so you wouldn't have to worry about it.

It is a actual Duraflex product, almost all aftermarket body panels never fit as well as OEM in my experience with them. Some are just better then others. I was quoted above $400 and the ETA was just ridiculous. Depending on how it turns out I might ditch it for the OEM once it arrives.

I agree...it looks like chopped strand mat, not a material I would choose for a part such as the front chin spoiler. I must say though, the quality looks to be much better then the VFiber product I acquired.

Where did you get it? Rockauto lists them, I was going to order one on a whim. I have my original lip still, but it's all busted and glued on partially with urethane adhesive.

Thanks, the total price was just under $6000 for the work. The insurance paid 3,500 and I paid an additional $2,275. There was allot of things I had him do while it was in. The drivers door need to be aligned again, dents around the car removed, new moldings, new emblems, fixing the RRM rear bumper, etc.
