+1. No need to suffer with the plastic ones when metal is readily available. Has anyone posted pictures or info on where to actually put these holes and/or which to fill?

It's in the link. It's best to find a screw to plug hole at bottom. Before plugging, you drill hole in passage. You can see the passage along hole.

Drill anywhere along passage.

Pick a side one or other as long as it's flat. If you drill on rounded edge, it will be tougher to tap for nipple.

And put screw in this hole to plug.

I checked my 14 year old plastic BOV this spring with thoughts of replacing it. Still working fine.

We just mean of your gonna mod one, may as well do a metal one so you don't have to do it again when the plastic one breaks.

I crushed mine because I have HTA 71 and thought I could spike to 30 psi. But my tuner set the boost to 28 psi and dropping to 24 psi. I guess I could have partial crushed my DV to get 28 psi. Lol

I don't get the fluttering sound on partial throttle now. When it opens, it's a solid pffffft. No whimpy flutter. Lol

Mine is crushed and works great. According to that thread, there are problems that I don't feel like dealing with. I now only run 25-26psi, anyway, now that I went from the HTA71 to a Green. Another benefit of keeping things simple.

The ones they talk about in the thread. Mostly surging of the turbo. I'd suggest reading up on it, just in case.

Oh, that thread. Not regarding crushing. That's a relief.

That's why I was thinking about installing a nipple to connect to EBC line with WGA instead of VTA with a hole.

If you are really having problems with the DV, then you may have to do all of that.
